Open Harvest Celebrates 10th Annual Everett Cookie Bake

Since 1999, Open Harvest has partnered with Everett Elementary School at 11th and B Streets to celebrate the winter holiday season by baking sugar cookies with Everett families. Jackie Barnhardt, Outreach Director, brings the ingredients and recipe, and the families bring the supplies, cookie cutters and sprinkles. Children read a simple old-fashioned five ingredient recipe and mix up and roll out dough. A variety of cookies are cut out, sprinkled and baked. In two hours, each family takes home about fifty cookies.
